The movie brings together some of the main cast and comes at a time when animated movies are still making a significant impact at the box office. The new release marks a major milestone for the studio, given that the series has already grossed over a billion dollars worldwide and continues to be a success with streaming and merchandise sales.
DreamWorks’ Biggest Franchise

Renewed Interest in the Universe

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish was released in 2022 and grossed almost $485 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing film in the franchise that also earned an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature. It proved to be a success, which shows that there is still interest in Shrek characters.
