The show’s original run spanned seven seasons and established a loyal following with its realistic plotting and impressive lead performance by Titus Welliver. Following his wrap-up, the character came back to Prime Video for “Bosch: Legacy,” where viewers could follow the private investigation career of Harry. Prime Video is expanding the Bosch universe in more than one direction. A prequel series titled “Bosch: Start of Watch” is in development for MGM+. It will show a young Harry Bosch, played by Cameron Monaghan, as he begins his career. This origin story is scheduled to be filmed in Los Angeles and will be Omari Hardwick’s training officer.
Focus on Strong Character Work
The focus on thinking and decision-making under pressure is what’s highlighted in these shows. Both Bosch and Ballard have detectives who are based on experience, instinct and persistence. It is a method that will appeal to the audience who appreciate intelligent storytelling.
