Some series you wear as background music. “The Four Seasons” is nothing like that. The second season of the show appeared on Netflix on May 28, 2026, and people started to discuss it within hours on a text. Eight narrow episodes, a cast that makes it appear easy, and writing that considers your intelligence.
An Improvement on Season One
It is supported by the figures. Season 2 begins with an 85% on Rotten Tomatoes, and surpasses Season 1 with 78%. That may not be so dramatic on paper, but it indicates that the writers were listening, that they tightened things, and re-emerged sharper than they were before.
Tina Fey Did This
The entire affair is due to the fact that Tina Fey had a desire to remake a 1981 Alan Alda movie and give it a new life. This was co-created by the woman behind 30 Rock, SNL, and Mean Girls, and her prints are all over it. The jokes land. It is the heart that falls the most.
It Is About Your Friends
The Four Seasons is essentially the story of fine individuals who are alone, who have known each other long enough that they cannot be in denial that all is not well. They play together on vacations, quarrel, joke, break down a bit, and continue to appear. It sounds simple. It strikes with a tremendous blow.
The Cast Is Preposterous.
Tina Fey, Will Forte, Colman Domingo, and Steve Carell sharing a show. Suffice it to say that sentence. These are no mere people living on their names. All of them are devoted to their work, shot by shot, with not a single scene being empty.
Fey Carries Actual weight.
Fey stars Kate, who is holding everybody together as she is falling to pieces silently. Forte stars as Jack, who conceals his true anger with an extremely believable smile. The two are overdoing it in what the comedy needs, and that is what takes the show to the next level of just a feel-good watch.
Domingo Steals Away It
Colman Domingo is an architect by the name Danny, who has been living a long life in comfort, lying to himself, and one day he runs out of road. Two Oscar nominations, and he still makes us think that he has something to prove. It is his scenes that you will be thinking of in the morning.
Careless Ghosts: The Season
Nick disappears before the second season, but is killed off-screen between seasons. Carell is still seen in flashbacks, though, and his absence is more effective than most actors with a complete storyline. The whole season is emotionally riveted by that sorrow.
The Supporting Cast Supported
Kerri Kenney-Silver, Erika Henningsen, Marco Calvani, and new face, Steven Pasquale, round out the world without unintentionally being pushed into the background. Critical attention has not been spared on Calvani in particular, with the critics terming his portrayal of Claude as the type of a silent revelation that just sits on your and just slips in your direction without you even realizing it.
Streaming Movie of the Weekend
In four days, season 1 attracted 12 million views. Season 2 is already following. Set aside a Saturday night, turn the phone off, and watch it to the end. You can not regret paying proper attention to this one.
