It is now summer streaming season, and Netflix, Hulu, and Apple TV+ are launching thrillers, comedies, and standout originals of the week. You can either watch all seven in one sitting or chill out, but these seven shows are worth viewing.
Cape Fear is Coming to Apple TV +

The biggest original to be launched by Apple TV+ was launched on June 5. Javier Bardem stars as Max Cady, a man who left prison after 17 years, having committed a crime he did not commit, and is now seeking revenge against the couple who took him to prison. Some of them include Amy Adams, Patrick Wilson, Martin Scorsese, and Steven Spielberg.
Alice and Steve: The Hulu Boldest Comedy of the Summer

The six parts of Alice and Steve were aired by Hulu on June 8. In the series, Nicola Walker portrays Alice, whose life goes awry when her long-term best friend Steve (Jemaine Clement) dates her 26-year-old daughter. Launched and authored by Sophie Goodhart, the show premiered to praise at CANNESERIES 2026 and presents a stilted but comedy of friendship, family, and poor judgment – a good use of your evening.
Not Suitable to Work: The New New York Comedy

The last episode of Mindy Kaling was released on Hulu on June 2. Not Suitable for Work is a series about five twenties who are trying to find their place at work and in love in Manhattan. Ella Hunt, Avantika, and Jay Ellis are the stars, with Kaling and Charlie Grandy to produce it at Warner Bros. Television.
The Witness: A Netflix True Story

This limited series of 3 parts was released by Netflix on June 4. It was adapted by Rob Williams, based on the murder of Rachel Nickell in 1992, after her partner and son, as a fundamentally defective police investigation, and falsehoods are revealed around them. It has a real emotive tone with Jordan Bolger and Max Fincham.
Shrill, a Netflix Newcomer, Has Become a Fan Favorite

Shrill is now on Netflix with three seasons on June 8. In this Lindy West comedy, Aidy Bryant stars as a Portland writer making her own rules without trying to fit in with men in life, which initially aired on Hulu from 2019 to 2021. It supports, and now it’s in a single location.
Sweet Magnolias takes the Magnolias to New York

Sweet Magnolias Season 5 is released on Netflix on June 11. JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Brooke Elliot, and Heather Headley are the small towners who have swapped their homeland with New York City. The 10 episodes are released at the same time, 16 months after season 4.
The Netflix Original: The Root of the Game

Directed by Alec Cutter, this Netflix original documentary series explores the underbelly of raw, grassroots football in Brazil, Vazarzea, located in the world’s biggest slum. With the appearance of stars such as Cafu and Raphinha, who began their careers with such amateur pitches, it has come at the most timely moment, when the World Cup takes place in 2026.
