Director Rawindra Pulle’s upcoming pan-India action thriller Mysaa has seen National Crush Rashmika Mandanna change her entire look from the glamorous one. The actress has an amazing transformation both physically and visually, transforming her into a fierce Gond tribal warrior.
Landmark Underwater Combat Scene
The Unformula Films production team recently completed a big milestone. The film features what the makers state as the first-ever female-led underwater combat in Indian cinema, which will set a huge benchmark for women in action films.
Rejecting Stunt Doubles
To prove her ultimate dedication towards the craft, Rashmika did not take the help of any professional body double in the sequence. She performed every high-risk twist, block, and strike she could to keep the character’s intensity. A Grueling 20-Hour Submersion
The special shoot was the ultimate physical challenge for the actress. The complicated fight sequences were filmed in almost 20 hours of underwater shooting over a very rigorous two-day period, which Rashmika managed to complete.

Earlier on, Rashmika had been to a special stunt and martial arts bootcamp in Bangkok, Thailand, where she trained physically for more than 8 hours a day to get the ferocity she needed for this role.

As a fierce tribal Gond girl, Rashmika’s character was described on the initial conceptual drawings as “hunted, wounded, unbroken. Initial marketing images depict her with blood and dirt on her, holding a weapon with a fierce and strong expression.

The film places special importance on its first female-led pan-Indian film, but it’s a very talented roster of supporting players that Rashmika has assembled. The project boasts veteran powerhouses like Guru Somasundaram, Easwari Rao, and Rao Ramesh.
Top-Tier Production Quality
The technical crew is very well-shod behind the scenes of the emotional action thriller. The film’s cinematography is done by Shreyaas P. Krishna, and the background score is done by Jakes Bejoy, whose music is very high in energy and evocative.
