Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai will be released in theatres throughout India on June 5, 2026. This date, which was confirmed by Varun Dhawan himself on Instagram, is the first big release in Bollywood since the IPL season eventually concludes.
OTT Platform Confirmed
The official poster assures that the streaming of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai will occur on ZEE5 following its theatrical release. After having gone through the cinema halls, ZEE5 will be the digital home of this romantic comedy.
Digital Premiere Timeline
The makers have not yet announced the exact date of the digital premiere. Bollywood movies are generally released on streaming 45-60 days after their theatrical release. Designated as ZEE5, the digital release will be in early August 2026.

The title of the film is directly based on the song Yeh Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai in Biwi No. 1, which was released in 1999, and which David Dhawan also directed. Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen have been picturised in that iconic song.

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hain is a movie produced by Ramesh S. Taurani under the popular brand, Tips Films. The music is written by a good team, such as Tanishk Bagchi, Javed Mohsin and IP Singh, among other Bollywood names.
Release Date Shift
The movie was initially due to be released in theatres on May 22, 2026. The creators subsequently changed the date to June 5 after the schedule changes attributed to the postponement of the much-hyped Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups.

It seems like a real Bollywood welcome back home when Varun Dhawan ventures into the realms of full-scale rom-com with his father in charge. This long-awaited father-son reunion has been a long time coming to fans who had their minds on Judwaa 2 when they were children.
