Your colleagues are talking about it. Your group chat will not cease concerning it. Somewhere, somebody’s spoiling the ending as we speak. That means you won’t catch it if you don’t start watching. Seven shows are currently running strong on streaming platforms, and are all must-sees.
“Stranger Things” Finale

Chances are, folks around have seen the last season of Stranger Things, if you haven’t. The five-season series ended its fantastic run with the 2025–26 season, averaging 32.9 million viewers according to Nielsen. The new record for the largest opening week of the streamer was 59.6 million views in five days for season 5.
“Wednesday” Wows Again

Now it was Wednesday, and people were all once again reminded of why Season 1 was a cultural moment. According to What’s on Netflix, Jenna Ortega’s horror show re-debuted in September 2025 and amassed a total of 119.3 million views in the series’ 91-day window, with its first week scoring a number one in 91 countries.
“The Pitt” Dominates HBO

A medical show is not really the type of show everyone would imagine to be one of the most talked about shows on T.V., but that’s what is happening. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Pitt saw a 50-plus-percent increase in per-episode U.S. viewers with Season 2 averaging 15.4 million compared to 10.5 million viewers during Season 1.
“Squid Game” Final Run

Hwang Dong-hyuk’s series of kills got his show the way it started, in many ways dominating. Both Netflix and Nielsen have stated that Season 3 has helped solidify Squid Game’s place as Netflix’s most-watched non-English TV series ever, with Season 1 alone reaching 265 million views during the 91 days of its availability.
“Knight of Seven Kingdoms”

The Game of Thrones fans who believed the show lacked any energy were pleasantly surprised. The series, which has been released as a prequel to the movies, averaged 36 million viewers per episode globally during its debut season, according to Warner Bros.
“His and Hers” Breaks Out

The two stars, Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal, have previously starred in a crime thriller together – and it paid off. According to Variety, His and Hers topped number two of the 2025-26 season after Stranger Things, based on its Nielsen ratings.
“White Lotus” Returns

Season 3 contained a bunch of teasers and took the viewers to the final minute of guessing. The season pulled in 16 million viewers on average worldwide per episode, and the finale received a series-high 6.2 million same-night viewers – according to Variety – while the premiere eventually reached almost 20 million viewers.
Streaming Is Winning

The six Netflix Originals include titles in the top 20 series list for the 2025-26 season, according to Nielsen. Streaming is no longer just trying to catch up with traditional broadcast television – it’s left them in the dust and is now further behind than ever before every year that passes.
