It was a very good week in streaming. With platforms making it big, whether you need to get on the edge of your seat or want to get down to a juicy true-crime, or you just need something so out there on the platform. This is all that is worth watching at the moment.
Faze – Digital Watch

The film, a heist movie set in London with Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Theo James, is an intriguing and thrilling one directed by Hell or High Water director David Mackenzie. A powerful bomb left unblast at World War II is detonated, sparking a city-wide evacuation, and someone believes it is their high time to commit a mega crime.
Shelter -Watch On Starz

Jason Statham stars as a retired British assassin who has settled his life on the Scottish coast in a peaceful manner, only to be tracked down again. He now has to defend a young girl against the same agency that he was trained by. Naomi Ackie and Bill Nighy also play a great role.
Dead Man’s Wire, Watch on Netflix

This mind-blowing true-life thriller arrives on Netflix May 28. It is an Indianapolis set in 1977, about a man who is so angry at a mortgage company that he pulls a shotgun on himself and the executive who responded unkindly to him. The whole city discovers that it happens to be being broadcast on television.
Dead Man’s Wire Adored by Critics

Dead Man Wires has been rated 91% Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics are hailing it as darkly humorous, brilliantly off-kilter, and the best movie director Gus Van Sant has shot in almost twenty years. Bill Skarsgård is the main character and cannot take his eyes off this actor.
Who Else In The Moment

The Moment cast is truly impressive. Charli XCX appears with such stars as Alexander Skarsgård, Kylie Jenner, Rachel Sennott, Jamie Demetriou, and Rosanna Arquette. Director Aidan Zamiri presents a combination of comedy, drama, and incisive commentary on the music industry in one very entertaining package.
Iron Lung – Watch On YouTube

Written, directed, and self-financed by Markiplier, who goes by the name Mark Fischbach, this sci-fi horror film was released on YouTube as a paid rental on May 31. It features a prisoner being alone in a submarine on a red-blooded ocean on a faraway moon. Imagines claustrophobic, tensed, and really uncomfortable.
Iron Lung Facts

Iron Lung has made about 21.7 million during its first opening weekend in theaters – about seven times its own budget. Fischbach declared the film was going to be streaming exclusively on YouTube, the site he initially used to establish his large fanbase in the world, after premiering at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.
Wuthering Heights -HBO Max

Emerald Fennell revives an Emily Brontë favorite as a new period drama that is equally outrageous and rebellious as the legendary classic, also on HBO Max this week. Early criticism refers to it as breathtakingly beautiful and emotionally charged, which explains why it is one of the most-hyped streaming releases of the year.
A Great Week To Stay In

It could be the best streaming week of 2026, as this week across Netflix, HBO Max, Starz, and YouTube is based on a London heist and a stranger-than-fiction true crime story, a pop music satire, a YouTube horror movie, and a sweeping period romance.
